BINTULU: Elektro Serve (M) Sdn Bhd Bintulu branch yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (TMEIC) as the authorised service provider for the Japanese company.

TMEIC was represented by senior manager of Preventive Maintenance and Quality and Assurance Department, Rotating Machinery Systems Division Hikaru Masuda while chief executive officer Mukhtar Mohamad signed for Elektro Serve.

Also present were Elektro Serve director Datuk Mohd Zin, its general manager Mohd Nasar Othman, chairman of its board of directors Abd Patah Mohamad, member of its board of directors Ikwa Salim Jaafar, its Bintulu branch manager Shah Rizan Salleh and TMEIC senior manager Medium Rotating Machinery Department Rotating Machinery Systems Division Masahiro Tsuruwa.

According to Mohd Nasar, Elektro Serve was established in 1990 at Kemaman Terengganu and has become the leading company in electrical and challengemechanical engineering within the region.

It specialises in the field of electric motors, generators, transformers, pumps, compressors, switchgears and UPS system.

“Over the years, Elektro Serve has accumulated valuable experience, developed its strength in terms of manpower, warehouse setups, equipment and facilities, that positioned it to be among the leaders in its field of expertise,” he told reporters in a media conference after the signing ceremony.

Its head office is in Kemanan Terengganu and has four branches.

It set up its branch in Bintulu in 2011 and has plans to set branches in Pengerang Johor Bahru and Balik Papan Indonesia in the near future.

“The development and fast growth of Elektro Serve are made possible by the commitment of its management team and the technical team, and we always strive to provide outstanding service to ensure customer satisfaction in terms of quality, reliability and timely delivery,” said Nasar.

He said with its appointment as an authorised service workshop by TMEIC, Elektro Serve has moved a step forward in the servicing and overhaul of Toshiba and Mitsubishi products.
