PETALING JAYA: More than 4,000 movie fans and members of charity homes were treated to a special screening of ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ at selected GSC cinemas throughout the nation recently as a reward for supporting the recent GSC-HOPE worldwide Malaysia donation drive.

As part of GSC’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) project for the year, GSC Exhibition together with movie distributor GSC Movies Sdn Bhd co-organised the reward for the donors who donated RM15 each.

The guests were also given The Mortal Instrument runes in tattoo form, namely for ‘Angelic Powers’, and ‘Strength’, acknowledging them as ‘Instruments of Good’.

“This movie is really good and fun. Its stays true to the book and I have read most of The Mortal Instruments books. Am really looking forward to the next movie,” 15-year old Andie Poon who came with her family for the charity screening said.

“The donation drive has been simply awesome,” Samantha Sim, HOPE worldwide Malaysia chairperson who was present at the screening in GSC Tropicana City Mall remarked.

“It is great to know there are people out there who are so positive to our cause especially to the GSC team. These funds will go a long way to help the underprivileged community in terms of poverty and social exclusion,” she added.
