KOTA KINABALU: Police have detained four people, including a woman, at two entertainment outlets in the state capital during the last day of Ops Cantas.

The men, in their 20s and 30s, were arrested for alleged drug abuse, while the woman, in her 30s, was apprehended for failure to produce any documents.

In the two-hour operation, which started at midnight yesterday, the police raided six entertainment outlets at Damai Plaza and KK Time Square here.

City police chief ACP Jauteh Dikun yesterday said about 40 police officers and personnel from the city police headquarters and the state police headquarters in Kepayan were involved in the operation.

“The raids were made to identify criminal activities at entertainment outlets around the state capital.

“The operation is also part of the ongoing Ops Cantas to fight criminal activities in the state capital,” he said, adding that the operation would resume next month.
