Dr M and Anwar to testify before RCI

KOTA KINABALU: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad is scheduled to give evidence at the Royal Commission of Inquiry on the presence of illegal immigrants on Wednesday (September 11).

The former prime minister is expected to be asked about the alleged ‘Projek IC’ where Malaysian identity cards were issued to immigrants without going through the proper process.

His former deputy, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, will also be giving evidence to the commission on September 19.

It is learnt that the commission will end its hearing next week and will have three months to go through the evidences before submitting its recommendations to the government.
