KOTA KINABALU: Youths should play an important and relevant role in giving meaning to the country’s independence and in implementing physical and human capital development policies, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
He said youths should understand and appreciate the government’s vision and mission, state and national development agendas and its short or long term approaches.
“As the future heirs, youths should ensure that physical development is on par with human evolution,” he said at the opening of the Malaysian Day youth seminar at Menara Tun Mustapha in Likas, near here yesterday.
His speech was delivered by the state Minister of Youth and Sports Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan.
He said a state or nation’s progress would be meaningless if it suffered from moral decline in the process. — Bernama
