KUCHING: More than 500 cyclists are expected to participate in the Cycling Recreational Club Kuching (KOOCH) Sunset Charity Ride 2013 on Oct 19.
According to KOOCH vicechairman Rahim Bugo, the event is committed to help SKUP raise funds in their bid to provide assistance for urban poor around the city.
“We are committed to raise RM15,000 from this event and the response so far has been encouraging with over 200 cyclists registered for the event,”he said.
The sunset ride will kick off at 7pm from Le’Park and will take the participants to Satok, Petra Jaya, Jalan Astana, Kuching Waterfront and back to Le’Park.
“The registration for the event is only RM30 and each participant will get a goodie bag and T-shirt,” he said.
Registration forms for the event can be obtained from bicycle shops such as Kuching Cycle Hub, Joyo Probike, Bicycle Emporium, Moh Tak Cycyle, WG, Thong Sen Cycyle and Performance Bike Shop.
The KOOCH Sunset Charity Ride is supported by GNC, Ismaco, The Gym Box, Water Genesis Sdn Bhd and Kuching City North Commission (DBKU).
