KUCHING: Senior Golfers’ Association of Sabah are organising the 6th Pan Borneo Senior Amateur Golf Championship next month.
It will be held at the Nexus Golf Resort Karambunai Sabah from November 6-7, with three teams namely Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei involved.
Participants must be amateurs in accordance with the rule of amateur status and members of either the Sarawak, Sabah or Brunei senior golfers’ society or association.
They are to possess a certified USGA index handicap or valid golf club handicap.
Competition for females will be open to those of age 45 to 55 years old before November 1, 2013.
There will be four categories for males namely Group A (55 – 59 years-old), Group B (60 – 64 years-old), Group C (65 – 69 years-old) and Group A (70 years-old and above).
Those interested are advised to contact tournament organising chairman Datuk George Ginibun (013-8515000), tournament director Anthony Asing (013-8588188), SGAS captain Joseph Roman (019-8113778), SGAS honorary secretary Chong Sow Yee (019-9191118) or Vivien Quek (019-8300737).
They can obtain their participation forms from their respective senior golfers’ society or association which should be submitted before October 23, 2013 to the fax number 088-411217 (attn: Ms Vivien Quek).
Bank slips should be quoted in the entry forms. Payment can also be made to their respective society or association.
Practise rounds will be held on November 4 and 5.
