SHAH ALAM: A police sergeant was sentenced to four years’ jail and fined RM20,000 or another nine months’ jail by the Sessions Court here today for accepting a RM3,500 bribe from a man in July last year.

Mohamad Zamani Yahya, 44, who was based at the Petaling Jaya police Narcotics CID was found guilty of accepting the money from Erwanfazli Malek, 33, as an inducement not to take action against his brother Mohd Firdaus, 28, for a drug-related allegation and to secure the release of his car.
