KUCHING: The 25th Kuching City Anniversary Open Darts Championship to be held at The Hills Shopping Mall from Oct 25 to 27 is now open for entries.
The three-day event is organised by Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) and is aimed to promote the sport to the community. It is also to scout for talents who will represent the state’s team at national and international level.
DBKU in a press statement issued yesterday said that the event is divided into two categories namely Threesome and Single’s Open.
In the threesome category, the champion team will walk home with RM6,000 while the first and second runners-up will receive RM3,000 and RM1,000 respectively. The fourth place winner will receive RM1,000.
A trophy will be awarded to those who finished ninth to 16th placings.
In the single’s category, the champion will receive RM1,000 and a trophy while the first and second runners-up with RM500 and RM300 respectively.
The fourth placing will bag RM300 and a trophy while those who placed from fifth to eighth placing will each receive a trophy.
The registration fee for the threesome category is RM360 whereas for the single category, the entry fee is only RM50.
