KUALA LUMPUR,: A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 on the Richter scale hit the Negros, Philippines at 7.37am today.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, the epicentre was 25km southwest of Tagbilaran city, Philippines and 751km northeast of Sandakan, Sabah.
The earthquake did not pose any tsunami threat. — BERNAMA
