Selangor sultan chairs meeting of conference of Malay Rulers

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah yesterday chaired the 233rd Meeting of the Conference of Malay Rulers at Istana Negara, here.

The two-day meeting from yesterday is being attended by all the rulers except from Kedah, Kelantan, Perak and Pahang who sent their representatives.

The royal rulers were yesterday accompanied to the meeting by the respective menteri besar and the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Penang, Sabah and Melaka, by the respective chief ministers.

Sarawak Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Muhammad Salahuddin was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah also attended a banquet in conjunction with the rulers’ meeting last night. — Bernama
