20 Filipinos charged with using false ICs

PETALING JAYA: Twenty Filipinos, including six women, were charged in two magistrates’ courts here yesterday with using identity cards that were fake or belonging to others as their personal identification document.

Ten of them were charged before Magistrate Nazri Omran and the remaining before Magistrate KB Elina Hong Tze Lan.

All of them, aged between 19 and 44, pleaded guilty to the charge and were sentenced to six months’ jail each.

They were charged with committing the offence at either Block A or B, Flat SS8, Jalan SS3/39, Sungei Way here at 2.30am yesterday.

According to the facts of the case, the identity cards used by all of them bore addresses in Sabah.
