KUALA LUMPUR: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hit the W.Caroline Islands, Micronesia, at 9.09 am today. According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department statement, it was 1400km Northeast of Tagum City, Philippines and 2,576km Northeast of Kinabatangan, Sabah.
The statement said the department will be issuing additional information on the quake. — BERNAMA
