Tuhan Harun’s remand extended till Dec 4

KUANTAN: The remand order for Tuhan Harun deviant sect leader, Harun Mat Saat, and two of his followers, who were arrested in Tangkak, Johor on Nov 20, has been extended till Dec 4.

Pahang police chief Datuk Sharifuddin Ab Ghani said Harun, together with his third wife, Nor Azida Mohd Zol, 30, and his driver, Nor Hairi Harun, 41, were now under custody at Kuantan police headquarters lock up.

“They were first remanded for seven days from Nov 21, but now the remand order has been extended for another week till Dec 4,” he said in a statement to Bernama here yesterday.

The three of them were remanded to facilitate investigation into the murder of Pahang Islamic Religious Council chief enforcement officer Ahmad Raffli Abdul Majid, who was shot dead in front of his house in Indera Mahkota 2 here on Nov 10. — Bernama
