KUALA TERENGGANU: Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) was today reminded not to forget its responsibility to the community besides producing knowledgeable students, Second Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said.

“They need to give priority the people besides producing excellent students.

We created the university not only to provide education opportunities, but also to ensure Terengganu continues to prosper with the university.”

He was speaking to reporters after a short visit to UniSZA Campus in Gong Badak here this evening accompanied by UniSZA vice-chancellor Prof Dr Yahaya Ibrahim.

He said there was nothing hindering UniSZA from continuing to progress and become among the top 10 universities in the country despite being a relatively young institution.

According to him, in a short span of time, UniSZA has undergone rapid development in terms of its structure and strength of academic staff, as well as in the field of publication and research and development. — BERNAMA
