LABUAN: Doing school revision in a relaxed manner was one of the important factors for SMK Labuan student, Noorsyazwanah Solih @ Sallih who managed to score 9A’s in her PMR examination.

She was among five students who scored straight 9A’s here in Labuan yesterday. She felt surprised with her unexpected results when they were announced at the school hall.

“I did not set my target too high, as I only thought that I could achieve five or six A’s,” she said after getting her result slip.

Noorsyazwanah, whose ambition is to become an accountant, shared that prayers were vital besides working hard and paying full attention in class.

Nonetheless, her parents’ support and prayers were also among the factors behind her sweet success, she said. Another student, Mohammad Fadhilah Asli from SM Sains Labuan, concurred with Noorsyazwanah that parents’ encouragement apart from effort was so important for one’s success. He scored 8A’s in his PMR.

“A student must clear with his or her purpose to go to school and must be serious in their studies.

“I try to balance my time between sports and studies,” said Mohammad, who also represented his school in rugby and football.

Aspiring to study chemical engineering someday, he shared that students must always seek God’s help in their undertakings.

“We only have two choices in front of us. One is success and the other one is living in misery,” he said when asked about his advice for other students who are going to sit for PMR orother examinations.

A total of 70 students around Labuan scored 9A’s, 8A’s and 7A’s in this years’ PMR examination.
