KOTA KINABALU: KFC Malaysia Sdn Bhd donated RM20,000 to five charity homes and organisations in light of the Christmas season through its nationwide project, Projek Penyanyang KFC.

The five beneficiaries were Darul Bakti Orphanage in Kota Belud which received RM3,000, St Theresa’s Children Hostel in Kota Marudu (RM3,000), Sabah Society for the Deaf (RM5,000), the Hospice Association of Sandakan (RM5,000), and the Kota Kinabalu Children Home Visitors Board (RM4,000).

Projek Penyanyang KFC was first initiated in 1995 through which KFC customers can donate any sum into donation boxes placed on the counters of each KFC outlet nationwide.

Various charity homes and organisations had since benefited from these donations as KFC Malaysia donates to different charity organisations every festive season, including Christmas, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, and KFC Malaysia’s anniversary, every year since 1995.

Presenting the cheques at the KFC Bandaran Berjaya branch here yesterday were KFC Sabah regional manager Godfrey Binting, KFC Sabah Human Resource manager Annie Lee, and KFC Sabah marketing and catering manager Datin Anna Au.
