Liew at the flood-hit Jalan Sang Kancil yesterday.
KOTA KINABALU: Api-Api assemblywoman Christina Liew blamed lack of action by the relevant authorities and poor drainage for the flood that affected houses and even her office at Jalan Sang Kancil here.
Liew said the area was flooded after two hours of heavy rain yesterday afternoon.
“The City Hall and Public Works Department have been promising to solve the problem every year, but they are not doing their job,” she claimed.
Liew said the people are preparing for the upcoming Chinese New Year after Christmas, and flash floods would spoil their celebrations.
