KUCHING: Sarawak Forestry is closing Wind Cave and Fairy Cave temporarily from yesterday due to flooding.

According to a press release, the continuous rainfall and overflow of the nearby river had caused the caves and surrounding area to be flooded, causing damages to the facilities and plank walks.

The closure was directed by chief park warden due to safety reasons and to allow repair works and clearing up of the nature reserves. Its reopening will be announced later, after the completion of rectifying works and deemed safe for the public.
