Former clerk charged with CBT involving RM95,773.95

KUALA LUMPUR: A former clerk pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here yesterday to nine counts of criminal breach of trust, involving RM95,773.95.

Syahrul Nizam Mohd Khair, 36, is alleged to have committed the offence at Epic-I Sdn Bhd, 15th Floor, Menara Atlas, Plaza Pantai, Jalan Pantai Baru here between July 12 and Oct 25, 2002.

The charge , under Section 408 of the Penal Code, carries an imprisonment for a term not exceeding 14 years and whipping, and is also liable to fine, if found guilty.

Judge Norsharidah Awang allowed Syahrul Nizam bail of RM20,000 in one surety and also ordered him to report himself at the nearest police station once a month.

The court set Feb 14 for mention.
