KOTA KINABALU: A driver died after a 10-tonne lorry he was driving collided with a charter bus carrying army personnel at Jalan Tuaran Bypass near Kampung Rampaian last night.

The victim was identified as Vun Win Lam, 43, from Miri, Sarawak.

Vun was transporting goods from Miri to Kota Kinabalu with the lorry owned by a Miri forwarding company.

Acting city police chief Superintendent M. Chandra confirmed the case, saying that the lorry, coming from Kota Kinabalu, was making a U-turn when it hit the bus around 8.30pm.
