KUCHING: The Nanyang Wushu Federation Of Sarawak will be launching the 23rd Nanyang Wushu Festival at the Crown Towers at 7:30 tonight.
It will be graced by Assistant Minister for Public Utilities (Electricity & Telecommunications) and Assistant Minister for Youth Development (Rural Areas), Datuk Dr Stephen Rundi Utom.
The highlight of this event will be “Nanyang Wushu Chinese New Year Festival Show” to usher in the Year of the Horse.
Nanyang Wushu Federation Of Sarawak chairman Prof Dato Seri Dr Song Swee Hee will also announce the federation’s calendar of events.
The main sponsor of this grand event are Metro Sedia Group with Neudimenxion and Crown Towers as its co-sponsors.
This event is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Sarawak, the Ministry of Social Development, Sarawak and the Sarawak Tourism Board.
Meanwhile, members of the public can look forward to several special programmes which have been lined-up by the federation with other business organisations, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.
The Nanyang Wushu “Golden Lion Lion Dance Festival will be held on Jan 18 at 7pm while the Nanyang Wushu “Chinese New Year” Festival Show II will be organised on Jan 25 at Crown Towers, Ground Floor at 7pm.
The ‘Gods Of Wealth’ will be meeting members of the public on Jan 11, 18 and 25 at Crown Square at 6pm where New Year goodies will be distributed to members of the public.
Meanwhile, Nanyang Wushu Lion Dance Troupes will be visiting premises of patrons and supporters during the Chinese New Year.
