MARC ANDERSON’S two-minute recording of frogs singing at Kubah National Park at dusk has been judged ‘The Most Beautiful Sound in the World’ in an online competition of the same name.

Launched by online community BeautifulNow (BN) in collaboration with The Sound Agency and SoundCloud in November 2013, Anderson’s winning recording, ‘Dusk by the Frog Pond’ beat out hundreds of entries, standing out among the 11 other finalists that also featured nature recordings.

The 12 finalists were chosen by sound expert and chair of The Sound Agency, Julian Treasure and one of the world’s leading nature sound recordists, Bernie Krause.

The sound entries submitted by the 12 finalists and the winner can be heard on the BeautifulNow website
