SARIKEI: A Magistrates’ Court here fined a 26-year-old man RM1,000 in default two months in prison after he pleaded guilty to injuring a 58-year-old woman on Oct 25.
Lau Puong Hiing attacked the woman while she was involved in a heated argument with his father at the Sarikei Driving Institute.
He pulled the victim’s hair and threw a chair at her.
As a result, the victim sustained injuries to the back of her ear, right elbow and right thigh.
Lau, who was charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code, paid the fine.
