SANDAKAN: The heart-broken man who split with his girlfriend here and thereafter reported missing by his family member on February 12 was found safe yesterday.
Tan Weng Liang, 30, who ran into the forest area near the Forest Department off Mile 6, supposedly with suicidal intention, was found at the Sepilok Resort off Mile 14 here.
District police chief ACP Rowell Marong said the man had denied having any suicidal intention and revealed that he was just sulking following the break-up before going to the Sepilok Resort.
Earlier, the man’s family members had lodged a police report claiming that Tan was probably intending suicide following his break-up. A search and rescue operation was launched to search for him.
