LAWAS: More than 4,000 jobseekers from the hardcore poor and low income families registered with the e-Kasih system in the district will benefit from the Azam Jobs Matching Programme under 1AZAM to be held at Lawas Manpower Office on Feb 26.
Lawas Manpower Department senior assistant director Flavian Punan Liam said the annual programme organised by the department matched jobseekers with the company offering the vacancy.
The programme is open to those registered with e-Kasih portal for Lawas district.
“It includes jobseeker registration for JobMalaysia, briefings and introduction to Azam projects such as ‘Jana Pendapatan Individu (Japi)’, Placement and Training (2PL) and community or group projects.”
“Those registered with Lawas e-Kasih portal are encouraged to come bringing along copies of their MyKad, certificates and other supporting documents,” he said yesterday.
Flavian said the event would provide information, counselling, guideline and training for selected participants.
The programme is a suitable platform to assist youths, especially school leavers and graduates, in looking for jobs.
