East Gate City in new property hotspot

KUCHING: Sim Swee Yong Development and Construction is launching its new project East Gate City at Mile 8 here.

A press statement said East Gate City’s location is part of the new property hotspot and booming sub-urban area between Mile 7 and Mile 10.

Centrally located with access to both directions of Jalan Kuching-Serian — from Kuching to Serian and from Serian to Kuching — which has a high traffic volume, the 40 units of shoplots have great economic potential.

The Padawan area has undergone a massive transformation under the government’s development policies and thanks to private investment in various business ventures.

With infrastructure improvement projects such as road upgrading, there are now many business opportunities in the area.

In addition, Padawan has attractive recreational and tourist spots such as hotsprings, Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, Borneo Highlands Resort, longhouses and a crocodile farm.

These attractions have drawn many local and foreign visitors and East Gate City will be perfectly located to cater to their various needs.

The commercial shoplots are designed to make full use of the unique advantages of its location through the adoption of a flexible double frontage design where each shoplot will have two doorways — one in front and another at the back.

Shop owners also have the option to add a wall in the middle to divide the unit into two for maximum investment potential.

Sim Swee Yong Development and Construction Sdn Bhd has also added a spacious walkway between shops to attract the flow of shoppers and all units will face the main road.

The project is currently at the piling stage and is expected to be completed in 2016.

In conjunction with the launching, limited units of the three-storey shophouses are on sale priced from RM1.28 million.
