MIRI: Team FBSB emerged overall champion of Coneli Veteran League 2013/2014 football tournament organised by City Sport Miri which ended last Saturday collecting 31 points to top the table.
The champions took home RM3,000, a trophy and medals while team P.218 Sibuti which was the second-runner-up received RM1,500, a trophy and medals.
Rosli Awang Ali won the Golden Boot title for scoring the most goals while Marzuk Marikan won the Best Footballer title.
The Best Goalkeeper title went to team P.218 Sibuti while team Medical won the Best Manager title.
All of the winners took home a trophy each.
State Sports Council (MSN) Officer, Harifen Mansur officiated at the prize giving ceremony.
Also present during the prize giving ceremony were event sponsor Charles Lou and event organising chairman, Lee Jong Soon.
According to Lee, the tournament is an annual activity aimed at promoting football especially among footballers aged 40 years old and above.
A total of 12 teams took part in the tournament and Lee plans to organised similar tournaments this year.
