KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said the appointments of political secretaries and People’s Development Leaders (PKRs) were not privileges, but one of trust and responsibility to the people and the state.

Musa said this in his keynote address during the oath-taking ceremony of newly appointed political secretaries and PKRs at Wisma Innoprise, Likas yesterday.

He said political secretaries and PKRs carried the image and integrity of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN). In view of that, their actions and attitudes must be in line with the aspirations and goals of the BN government.

Musa, who is also the Sabah BN chairman, also urged the newly appointed political secretaries and PKRs to continue to cooperate and work together to ensure the success of the state’s development agenda for the benefit of the people as a whole.

Three political secretaries and five PKRs were sworn in during the ceremony.

The new political secretaries are Datuk Armani Datuk Haji Mahiruddin (Chief Minister’s Department), Stanis Buandih (Ministry of Infrastructure Development) and Gimis @ James Ingguru (Ministry of Human Resources Development and Information Technology).

The People’s Development Leaders are Hajah Musliati Muslimin and Rakmadin Mohd Yassin Sharafdin (PKR headquarters), Zaini Tiksun (Sungai Sibuga), Rudin @ Amirudin Mohd Damit (Sukau) and Utoh Joehann Angkie (Kunak).
