KUCHING: Sarawak suffered a disappointing 0-2 defeat to clubside T-Team at Kuala Trengganu last Saturday.

T-Team, struggling at the bottom of the Super League, scored an upset against the well-rested Crocs.

There was further misery when Joseph Kallang Tie failed to convert a penalty towards the end of the first half.

The Titans scored through Ramzul Adnan and Badrul Hisyam to break the hearts of the over 500 Sarawak fans who travelled there.

Many were particularly dismayed at the performance of striker Alireza Abbasfard.

The Iranian import started the match but again failed to score after six league appearances.

Sarawak Football Fans Club (SFFC) president Peter Moni Selat, when contacted by The Borneo Post yesterday, echoed the general sentiment.

“No offence to him, we are solely for the interest of the Crocs and he just couldn’t play for Sarawak,” he said.

With this latest loss, Sarawak dropped to fourth position after starting the match lying in third on the league standings.

“There are still many more matches to be played in the Super League. Although it hurts to see the team lose, we are not that disappointed as T-team is a formidable opponent,” Peter added.

The Crocs will next face last year’s league champion Lions XII FC at Stadium Negeri this coming Saturday (March 15).
