Naim contributes RM100,000 to Sabati

KUCHING: Tabung Amanah Naim, a trust fund established by Naim Holdings Bhd, contributed RM100,000 to Association of Wives of Ministers and Assistant Ministers (Sabati).

The mock cheque for the contribution was presented by Naim’s group managing director Datuk Hasmi Hasnan to Yang Di Pertua Negeri Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Adenan Satem at Sabati’s Appreciation Night here on Saturday.

The contribution was to facilitate Sabati’s fund raising efforts for its activities, Sarawak Heart Foundation (SHF) which seeks to assist Sarawak General Hospital’s Heart Centre in Kota Samarahan in setting up a minimally invasive heart surgery equipment costing RM1.5 million, and Sarawak Orphans Welfare Association (Peryatim).

Naim disclosed that the Group, through Tabung Amanah Naim, has actively provided financial assistance to various charitable causes, ranging from educational advancement and relief of natural disasters to youth sports development and other charitable purposes.

“Naim operates with a strong awareness of its corporate social responsibility and this awareness is ingrained into its business model.

“As a responsible corporate citizen, Naim has always taken into consideration the interests of community in which it operates and takes responsibility for the impact of its business activities on customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders, communities and the environment.

“It is committed to fulfil its corporate social responsibility by extending aid beyond statutory obligations and compliance with legislation,” said Naim’s press release.
