LAHAD DATU: One of the candidates for the post of Silam Wanita Umno vice chief during the last Umno election, Jumriah Hambali, who was involved in an accident at Jalan Kunak-Lahad Datu last December, has recovered and returned to her home here on Saturday.
Jumriah was welcomed by Silam Wanita Umno chief Mizmah Appehdullah and committee members as well as her family.
According to Jumriah, she was very thankful and grateful for all the care, support and concern given by all parties, especially the Umno leadership.
“I am very grateful for the concern from all parties, especially the Umno leadership that always gave encouragement and support to me during this period,” she said, adding that their kindness could not be repaid.
Last December, Jumriah and another Silam Wanita Umno member, Zuraidah Boching went to Kunak to campaign with their driver, Samman Arum.
However, their four-wheel-drive vehicle got involved in an accident and Samman was killed while Jumriah and Zuraidah suffered serious injuries.
