KAPIT: Putra RT have now retained the Futsal PBB Pelagus Eutag Cup for the fifth time since the tournament started in 2011.
They beat HRU FT 2-1 in the final. PBB Song came in third.
24 men’s and three women’s teams participated in the tournament held at Bletih Stadium from March 14 – 16. The top three teams in the men’s competition walked away with cash prizes of RM 1200, RM 800 and RM 600.
Chillex FC and Zulscom emerged champion and runner-up respectively in the women’s competition.
Cash prizes for the first three women’s teams were RM 500, RM 300 and RM 200.
The tournament was organised by PBB Youth Pelagus and PBB Youth Ranting Kampung Baru.
The closing-cum-prize giving ceremony was officiated by Polycarp Tanjong who represented Alvin Runggah Datuk Temenggong Jimbun, the Youth Chief Pergerakan Pemuda PBB Pelagus.
