Concert: Six people still hospitalised

KUALA LUMPUR: Nine people who were warded at the hospital for drug abuse during the Festival Future Music Asia 2014 concert were discharged yesterday.

Cheras police chief Mohan Singh Tara Singh said among them were four Singaporeans who were treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) and five comprising a Taiwanese, Filipino, Iranian and two Singaporeans from the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC).

In a statement here yesterday, he said six other victims, comprising five Singaporeans and a local were currently undergoing treatment.

One of them was treated at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (PPUKM), four in UMMC while another was in Prince Court Hospital.

Meanwhile, the number of spectators arrested for drug abuse at the concert remained at 29 people. They comprised 14 locals and 15 foreigners.

Early Saturday morning, three men and three women died from drug overdose while watching the concert at the Bukit Jalil Stadium here.

The deceased were aged between 19 and 28. — Bernama
