KOTA KINABALU: The grand finals of the Sabah Model of the Year Season 4 will be held on April 5 at 6.30pm in Starcity Convention & Event Centre here.
According to organizing chairman Victor Gerard Brian, the contest enters its fourth season this year with 25 finalists competing for the prestigious modeling title.
The contestants will be participating in three rounds in which they will wear cocktail dress, creative Cheongsam and evening gown.
The finalists are Jennyfer Lim Yen Phing, 20, from Kota Marudu, Farah Mohammad (20, Ranau), Shopie Jenny Chua (19, Tambunan), Claudieyamax Aloysius (18, Inanam), Marliana Hamzah (21, Ranau), Calista Nadia Lusin (21, Tamparuli), Eaugine Waili (18, Kota Kinabalu), Norhazziannie Hamzah (18, Tambunan), Erlasttini Ernie Bidi (19, Ranau), Stephanie John (23, Ranau), Norafiqah Ropnie (22, Tawau), Vanessa Yee (18, Papar), Fennylia Francis Kojiun (26, Kuala Penyu), Erica Liew Saik Mee (25, Kota Kinabalu), Natalie Vivienne Yabai (21, Keningau), Lydia Pius (23, Ranau), Edna Sinimon (21, Inanam), Elsie R. Marius (22, Papar), Kong Sue Mei (24, Tenom), Elfira Edwin (21, Tambunan), Sitti Asmah Sabit (19, Kota Marudu), Flora Fabian (21, Tawau), Tracy Liew Wan Nie (21, Penampang), Sherene Yunus (19, Keningau) and Salpiah Salam (23, Kawang).
Attractive prizes are in the offer for the state-level search, whereby the winner, first and second runners-up will receive trophy, sash, certificate and cash prizes of RM2,000, RM1,500 and RM1,000 respectively.
Six subsidiary titles will be up for grabs, namely Most Popular Model, Most Creative Cheongsam, Best Evening Gown, Most Talented, Most Friendly and Best Catwalk.
Local artists will be performing that night and tickets for the grand finals are sold at RM300 per pax or RM3,000 per table and RM90 per pax or RM900 per table.
With their dinner ticket, the audience will have a chance to vote for Most Popular Model via ticket voting. The organizer is also going to offer cash prizes to the best dressed male and female audience present that night.
The organizer also welcomes interested sponsors who are interested to contribute and to be part of the event.
