KUCHING: A guided tour which provides in-depth information on the benefits of positive energy and how it complements overall healthy growth of children is being held at the Milo roadshow in Plaza Merdeka here.

The Milo team is headed by Nestle Products sampling and events manager Tony Merril.

The event, which ends on Sunday, is held in collaboration with Everrise Plaza Merdeka.

A host of fun-filled activities has been lined up to bring excitement to shoppers, such as Milo Institutes Playing Field and Positive Energy Movement.

Shoppers can also enjoy free BMI measurement and participate in the nutrition talk by a professional nutritionist.

There is also free sampling during the roadshow and customers will also enjoy great promotions on Milo products.

Milo Actigen 1kg softpack is priced at RM15.99 each, 2kg RM33.90, Milo 3-in-1 Fuze Original 20’s is RM11.59 while UHT 6’s RM7.59.

“We are targeting between 8,000 and 10,000 participants in the event, and as they complete each stage, they will be given a free goody bag,” said Tony.

Meanwhile, Milo Consumer marketing manager Ng Su Yen in a press release hoped the event would better understand what exactly the body needs in order to achieve its true potential, the right balance of fuel (food), regular exercise and having a spirited mindset.

Ng said Malaysia currently has the unenviable distinction of being a Southeast Asian country with the highest rates of both obesity and diabetes, which is largely attributed to the sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits prevalent here.

“A balanced diet contains foods from all the main food groups in the correct proportions to provide the body with optimum nutrition. To stay healthy, our body needs the right ration of carbohydrates, fats and protein – the three main components of nutrition in the food pyramid to release positive energy.

“Milo has conducted a series of research and development initiatives to unlock the energy based on the new Malaysian Dietary Guidelines and we will be sharing this with consumers in an interactive manner,” said Ng.
