KUCHING: Sarawak head coach Robert Alberts has every reason to be worried after his prolific defender Gabor Gyepes sustained a hamstring injury during the match against Armed Forces on Tuesday.

Alberts said Gyepes might have to miss the action for two to three weeks at a time when the Crocs are battling hard for better results in the second round of the Super League season, especially so after positive results in the first two matches of the second round.

Sarawak edged the Armed Forces 3-2 and had last Friday defeated Terengganu 2-1.

The Crocs will play against Kelantan in Kota Baharu tomorrow, the match which Alberts said would be tough for his team without Gyepes.

Despite Kelantan’s 4-0 defeat to Sime Darby on Tuesday, Alberts still expects a difficult match against Steve Darby’s team since past records showed that Sarawak has not won against Kelantan.

Alberts said his team deserved the victory over Armed Forces, adding that they could have won by a bigger margin if not for the players losing focus when leading 3-1.

The Dutchman was also unhappy with the way his strikers performed and the way certain players played because according to Alberts, they did not play according to his instruction. — Bernama
