Korean firm keen to invest in Sarawak, says Awg Tengah

KUCHING: Lotte Chemical Titan is currently looking into the possibility of investing in Sarawak.

This was revealed by Industrial Development Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan, who said the company from Korea has shown interest in business and investment opportunities in the
state.

“Lotte Chemical Titan is presently carrying out research on investment potential here and if all goes well, there will be a follow-up from them after this,” he told reporters after receiving a courtesy call from Lotte Chemical Titan (M) Sdn Bhd managing director and chief executive officer Lee Hun Ki and executive vice president Chun Myung Jin at his office at Wisma Sumber Alam yesterday.

Among those present during the courtesy call were Assistant Minister of Industrial Estate Development Datuk Peter Nansian Ngusie, Assistant Minister of Industrial Development (Investment and Promotion) Datuk Julaihi Narawi, Ministry of Industrial Development permanent secretary Datu Liaw Soon Eng and State Planning Unit director Datu Ismawi Ismuni.
