Policemen preparing to send the body to Sibu Hospital mortuary.
SIBU: A man was killed when a 4-wheel-drive vehicle he was driving rammed into a metal railing at Km25 Tun Ahmad Zaidi Edruce Road here on Tuesday.
He was believed to have lost control of the vehicle which landed on a slope after colliding with the railing.
The deceased, identified as Leong in his 50s, was sending a friend back to Sibu Jaya after a fishing trip when the accident struck around 8pm.
A lamp post by the roadside was hit and damaged.
Fire and Rescue Department personnel extricated the body of Leong from the vehicle.
