BINTULU: Twister United emerged champion in the futsal competition of the Fiesta Mesra Belia 1Malaysia carnival at Sg Plan Lot last weekend.
Second and third places went to TSP and Ayyas Vaie respectively.
Meanwhile Mohd Syairazi won the first place in the Tamiya contest beating Breelzn Maurice and Mohd Khairul Ikhwan into second and third places.
Bintulu MP’s political secretary Zaiedy Nor Abunasir gave away the prizes.
He expressed his happiness with the good response from the young people to the various competitions especially in futsal which attracted 10 teams.
“There are 18 blocks in Sg Plan and that is why I urge each block to set up their own committee or management.
“This is to ensure all necessary assistance can be given out to all committees,” he said.
He hoped each block would send their own representatives for futsal or other events in future.
Sg Plan Lot Neighbourhood Watch committee chairman Bujang Hashim earlier requested for funds to build a sepak takraw court in the village.
