SMK Marudi best with 95.5 pct overall pass

MARUDI: One of the oldest secondary schools in Baram, SMK Marudi had the best overall results of a 95.5 per cent pass rate, an increase of 17.5 per cent from year 2012.

It achieved 59.7 passes in four subjects.

The best student was Sim Siew Ming with 2A 2B+ (CGPA 3.67) while Haliza Ismail achieved 1A,1A -.1B+ and 1B; Jacqueline Lease and Ling Hui Min both scored 1A,1A 1B+ and 1B. Joshua Kalang Balan scored 4B+ .

Some 100 candidates registered for the STPM but only 67 candidates sat for the examination.

The school’s average grade (GPS) increased by 0.23 and subject average grade by 0.3.
