KUALA LUMPUR: National Moto3 rider, Muhammad Zulfahmi Khairuddin managed to collect one point after completing his third race at the Argentina Grand Prix.

The Ongetta-Air Asia rider finished in 15th spot after clocking 39 minutes 12.575 seconds at the Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit.

Italian Romano Fenati of Sky Racing team took the chequered flag with a time of 38:34.451s ahead of Alex Marquez of Estrella Galicia 0,0 from Spain, who clocked 38:34.550s while Australian Jack Miller of Red Bull KTM Ajo was third on 38:34.991s.

“It was a difficult start and I did not have a good start. Much need to be done in the set up of the bike and riding technique but the team is working very hard to ensure everything works well,” he said.

Meanwhile, another national Moto3 rider, Hafiq Azmi of SIC-Ajo team completed the Grand Prix of Argentina in 16th position with a time of 39:13.061s.

“This race went much better than the previous ones. I got a good start and tried to latch onto the group with Bastianini (Junior Team GO&FUN Moto3). However, I began to battle with Scott Deroue (RW Racing GP), Zulfahmi and a few other riders in the group.

“I tried to break away, but it was difficult. In the end I found it hard to follow the pace of the group and I had to push hard, which led to my mistake on the penultimate lap which kept me out of the points. I am happy with sixteenth place,” said Hafiq. — Bernama
