KUCHING: Living in a tropical country brings forth a new set of challenges for our skin care regime and Himalaya Herbal Healthcare (Himalaya) has come up with a new product that uses the wonders of nature to restore the vitality of our skin.

Body moisturisers are an essential step in our daily routine and Himalaya has now reintroduced its nourishing skin cream — the Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream, a light, non-greasy, daily-use cream, which provides you with all-day moisturising, nourishment and protection, Himalaya Herbals Healthcare (Himalaya) general manager (marketing) Denise Yan told reporters at the Himalaya boutique at tHe Spring shopping mall yesterday.

With a history spanning over eight decades in the area of herbal research, the Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream is a 100 per cent herbal active blend of aloe vera, winter cherry and extracts from the Indian kino tree.

“Aloe vera, a succulent plant with rejuvenating and soothing properties, is a powerful natural moisturiser which also softens dead skin cells that leave your skin not only smoother but also brighter. It also possesses anti-oxidant properties that help to delay the visible signs of aging,” Yan explained.

The cream’s other ingredients such as winter cherry helps to keep skin looking youthful by stimulating collagen production and increasing natural skin oils and hyaluronic acid as well as help to protect the skin against free radical damage while extracts from the Indian kino tree help to protect the skin from the harsh polluted environment and dry weather.

Himalaya is currently offering a remarkable promotional price for the Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream from now until June 30 in conjunction with the upcoming Gawai Dayak celebration.

“The 50ml size which is usually priced at RM15.90 is now available at only RM9 here at our boutique in Kuching,” Yan said.

Since the launch of the nourishing skin cream in countries such as Korea and Singapore, Yan said that the popular cream has gone on to become Asia’s number one best-selling beauty product.

“We sold around 300,000 units of the nourishing skin cream in Korea last year whereas in Singapore, approximately 30,000 units are sold each month,” she added, pointing out that users adore the miraculous creation from Himalaya for its capability to leave skin silky smooth from head-to-toe as well as its affordable price.

“It can also act as a make-up base for women who have dry skin,” she added.
