TAWAU: The effort to produce an excellent education system and the perfect human being through teaching and learning should not be taken lightly just like ‘throwing  stones at the stars’.

Sabah Education director, Jame Alip, said such efforts should be carried out conscientiously and with a sincere heart with a view to producing quality human beings that will benefit the country.

Under the Malaysia Education Blueprint, Jame said, all the students are to be taught to learn and master bilingual subjects.

Jame was speaking when officiating at the opening ceremony of the state-level trilingual storytelling, written examination, poetry readings competitions at SJKC Sin Hwa here.

“Through these competitions, the students would not only master bilingual, but trilingual (Bahasa Malaysia, English and Bahasa Cina) subjects which would certainly benefit them in the future. I also hope these trilingual competitions would be held regularly and expanded to be aligned with the Malaysia Education Blueprint.

“The cooperation between the education department, associations, private sectors and the community should be maintained for better result,” Jame pointed out.
