SIBU: Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Adenan Satem and his wife Puan Sri Datuk Jamilah Anu were among a host of VIP guests at the grand wedding reception of Lt Mohammed Abdullah Izkandar Capt Datuk Roseley Omar and Mazwina Nazwa Johari here on Saturday.
Izkandar is the son of Datin Dayang Fatiyah Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin and Capt Datuk Roseley Omar, as well as the grandson of former Head of State Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng.
Second Finance Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh, Nangka assemblyman Dr Annuar Rapaee, Temenggong Vincent Lau and Sibu Resident Sim Kok Kee were also present.
After the recitation of prayers, the newlyweds walked under an arch of swords as bagpipes played.
The highlight of the event was the blessing ceremony for the couple led by Adenan and Jamilah.
Mazwina also tossed her bouquet as 20 single ladies waited excitedly to catch it.
Guests were also entertained to romantic songs throughout the dinner.
