KDF’s Azila appointed as president of MFBA

KUCHING: Following the annual general meeting of the Malaysia Futures Brokers Association (MFBA), Azila A Aziz, chief executive officer (CEO) and head of Listed Derivatives for Kenanga Deutsche Futures Sdn Bhd (KDF) has been voted in as the president of the asssociation.

According to a press statement, as the newly elected president of the association, Azila together with the committee will be responsible for representing the futures industry trading participants as en bloc and voice for the overall futures industry.

Commenting on the appointment, Chong Kim Seng, CEO of Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Bhd (Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ) said, “The appointment recognises the pivotal role KDF has been playing in the futures industry for more than a decade.

“With her client-centric approach and complemented with strong efforts to drive the growth of the industry to institutional and retail markets, domestically and internationally, Azila has the right leadership skills to lead the Association to the next level.”

Azila said, “I am pleased to take on these broader responsibilities in addition to my role as CEO and head of Listed Derivatives at KDF.

“I look forward to continue working with clients, industry partners and all our stakeholders while fostering interest in the local and global futures industry in the coming year.”

Azila has 18 years of sustainable hands on experience in sales and dealing in Malaysian Derivatives products to foreign and domestic institutions. She has also been instrumental in retaining the firm’s position as the ‘Top Overall Futures Broker’ and ‘Top Equity Futures Broker Awards’, awarded by Bursa Malaysia Derivatives for an unprecedented 11 consecutive years.

She currently manages and leads qualified Malaysian Futures Dealers at KDF whom are involved in futures dealing, product sales and marketing, electronic execution and the solution providers to a diverse group of clientele base.

The MFBA represents the trading members of the exchange who are duly licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia and are approved and registered with Bursa Malaysia Derivatives.

The association encourages the advancement of the business and the protection of interests of the futures broking profession in Malaysia.
