KENINGAU: The district Umno Youth and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Youth have lodged a police report here yesterday against the owner of a Facebook account which had allegedly insulted the integrity of the top leaders in the state.
Keningau Umno Youth chief Nik Mohd Nadzri Nik Zawawi said the police report was made against the owner of the Facebook account for editing the dialogue between Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman and Deputy Chief Minister cum Infrastructure Development Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.
“The topics of conversation contain elements of defamation that can affect people’s trust in the leadership of the ruling State Barisan Nasional (BN).
“As the Keningau BN Youth chief, I made this report for police investigation and further action on the owner of the Facebook account for his irresponsible actions.
“We do not want people fooled by accusations disseminated through social media in such a way as this will confuse the people’s trust in our leaders,” he said.
