The ceremony was graced by Cosmopoint Group of Companies chief executive officer Hizwani Hassan and Cosmopoint Group of Colleges chief executive Izz Al-Din Maslan.

A press release highlighted that there was an increase of 30 per cent in graduates from Cosmopoint East Malaysia this year, comprising students from Cosmopoint Campus Kota Kinabalu 1 (Wisma MAA), Kota Kinabalu 2 (Wisma Times) and Kuching Campus.

“We are extremely fortunate to witness the graduation of these students, whose hard work and dedication paved the way for their success today,” Hizwani said.

“Our graduates are a testament to Cosmopoint’s commitment in providing quality higher education for over 20 years. We have always been committed to ensure that students are trained under our ‘Real World Learning’ principles,” he added.

“Our aim is to make a difference in people’s life by providing the most affordable and quality skill-based education for all”, he said.

Three graduates were awarded the Graduan Bestari Awards. This special award was presented to students with the highest CGPA scores, who are actively involved in extra-curricular activities and completed excellent projects.

The three graduates were Ichild Riryssa Chu of Diploma in Information Technology, Noraisan Naisan of Diploma in Pharmacy and Saran Barauk of Diploma in E-Secretaryship, from Cosmopoint Campus Kota Kinabalu 1, Kota Kinabalu 2 and Kuching, respectively.

“My efforts have truly paid off. I have always imagined that this day would come and I will make my parents proud”, says Chu.

The bubbly graduate credits the lecturers of the faculty for being there for her whenever she needed guidance.

“The lecturers were always positive and provide solutions to mistakes or challenges faced by the students,” Chu said.

Currently working as a part-time IT trainer at AMC College, Chu aspires to become an IT lecturer as she feels that education is the best investment for everyone.

Noraisan credits Cosmopoint in providing the best facilities which reflects the current industry environment, especially in the hospitality and tourism industry, information technology and health sciences.

The Diploma in Pharmacy student enjoyed her student years, and is now looking forward to joining the workforce.

Commending Cosmopoint in an effort to provide accessible and affordable yet quality education, Saran applauded the entire management for always looking out for the students, ensuring that everyone in class will benefit the most in each lecturer and project.

The strong and steady growth of students in Cosmopoint East Malaysia is proof that the programmes offered in Kota Kinabalu and Kuching campuses are becoming more popular.

Located in city centres, Cosmopoint offers skill based programmes such as Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, Public Relations, Broadcasting and Film, E-Secretaryship, Fashion Design, Interior Design and many more, which enable students to go further in their future careers.

Cosmopoint Kota Kinabalu Campus 2 began its operation and intake in 2011, hence, this is the first batch of students graduating from Campus Kota Kinabalu 2.
