BINTULU: Twelve teams will be vying for the 10th Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) Tennis Championship to be held at will be held at Kidurong Club and BDA Sports Centre from June 19-22.
The tournament is organised by BDA in collaboration with Bintulu Division Lawn Tennis Association (BDLTA).
The participating teams are ABF 7, BDA-MAX, BDLTA, Bintulu Juniors, Dalat, Kastam Sibu, Sarawak Bumiputera Lawn Tennis Association (PTBS), Miri-Tg Lobang, Mukah DLTA, Miri Greensports, Kuching Greensports and Miri Bumiputera Lawn Tennis Association (PBT Miri).
The prizes sponsored by LEA Sport Centre include RM1300, RM1000 and RM700 for the top three teams.
The annual tournament represents part of BDA’s social responsibility programme through sports.
Last year’s competition was won by Miri Tg Lobang with PTBS second while ABF 7 and Miri Greensports were joint third.
It is aimed at popularising tennis in Bintulu and Sarawak in general while fostering closer rapport and promoting healthy living through sports.
