The victim was found dead at the driver’s seat yesterday.
KOTA KINABALU: A 42-year-old man was found dead inside his Perodua Kancil car at Taman Sinar Baru in Damai, here yesterday.
The victim, identified as Thien Yee Hin from Taman Sinar Baru was found unconscious at the driver’s seat by the public around 7.30am.
It was believed that Thien was taking a nap inside the car when the incident happened.
Meanwhile, city police chief Assistant Commissioner Jauteh Dikun said police investigation believed the suspect suffered a heart attack, adding that police are still investigating the case.
“Initial police investigation shows no faul play was involved in the case and police have classified the case as sudden death.
“The victim’s body has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for a post-mortem.
“Police have also informed the victim’s family and we urge any eyewitnesses to come forward to assist us in our investigation,” he said.
